Dignity for All Students Act (DASA)

The Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) seeks to ensure that all students attend school in an environment free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment, and bullying on school property. Under DASA, school professionals (teachers, paraprofessionals, counselors, psychologists and social workers) who apply for state certification after December 31, 2013 must take this six-hour course. This includes personnel who are applying for new certificates, e.g., paraprofessionals going from a Level 1 to a Level 2. (2 meetings/6 hours)
