Street Photography

This course introduces students to the art of street photography, focusing on observation, timing, and storytelling in public spaces. Students will learn to capture candid moments, human interaction, and everyday life with authenticity and creativity. The class explores techniques for working quickly and composing compelling images in unpredictable environments. Discussions will also cover ethics, awareness, and confidence when photographing in public. Sessions include guided shooting exercises (weather permitting) and critiques to help students refine their approach and strengthen their photographic eye. DSLR camera and printed images are required. (4 meetings, 12 hours)
