Description
This workshop provides an exciting opportunity to explore the fascinating world of digital photography using a DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera. Topics include composition, light and shadow, portraiture, abstract and landscape photography. Explore how you intend to use your images – for the internet or print. What about noise reduction, burst speed, white balance, optical and digital zoom, buffer, and burst mode? Further explore these issues and the specifics of digital camera controls, such as resolution, formatting, color space and correct exposure. Students need to bring a DSLR camera to class. Each week students will bring in prints for group discussion and critique. (4 meetings/12 hours)
