Description
This course is designed to help lawful permanent residents prepare for the naturalization process by developing the English language, civics knowledge, and interview skills necessary for successful completion of the U.S. citizenship examination and interview. Participants will learn about each step of the naturalization process, from submitting the application through the citizenship interview and oath ceremony, while reviewing the U.S. history, government, and geography content required for naturalization. The course also includes mock citizenship interviews and practice exercises to help students build confidence, improve communication skills, and prepare for the civics and English portions of the naturalization examination. (5 meetings). Campus locations vary by semester.
