This is a two-part interactive series that discusses the role nutrition, stress management, physical activity, and other lifestyle modifications play in keeping individuals healthy, especially during a pandemic. In Part one, participants will learn how lifestyle choices can influence the way individuals may develop a variety of diseases or increase the likelihood that they will live long enough to tell their great grandchildren about COVID-19. It will focus on the role nutrition plays in staying healthy during a pandemic. Part two will focus on stress management, physical activity, sleep and other lifestyle modifications that offer the best chance for a favorable outcome should an individual contract the COVID-19 virus. There will be a discussion of what happens physiologically when someone gets the virus and what role vaccines play in ending the pandemic. Finally, tips will be provided on how to reduce the likelihood of getting or spreading the virus to others while living under the same roof with someone who has tested positive.
